Two new versions will be released: v2.0.2 (update) & v2.1 (upgrade w/ new map). ETA: late 3/2005
-V2.0.2: 2CD’s, free of charge + shipping/handling fee to existing registered v2.0 customers w/ valid serial number and proof of purchase ONLY. It will have all the same user interface enhancements and bug fixes as v2.1 but will not include new map. This update is for customers who purchased iGuidance v2.0 or v2.0.1 through iNav online store prior to 3/15/05 and don’t need the new map from v2.1. *Customers who requested free v2.0.2 and later on wish to purchase v2.1 may need to mail back v2.0.2 CD’s at iNav Corporation’s discretion.
-V2.1 will contain
- Newly expanded N. America map from Navteq (now includes all provinces in Canada)
- Bug fixes for map routing along eastern coastal states
- Improved bluetooth connectivity
- Enhanced memory management to allow longer distance routing
- VGA & landscape support
- Full screen mode for laptop (full screen for ppc is already available on v2.0)
- 4 pre-defined color themes for map
- Enhanced 3D view
- Single-click POI navigation (name & phone # listed with POI icon when available)
- Real time weather report (internet access required via LAN, BT, mobile phone, WI-FI, etc)
- 3 CD’s
Note: Customers who purchased v2.0/v2.0.1 within two-month period before the actual v2.1 release date may exchange for v2.1 for free + shipping/handling fee through iNav Corporation (registered customers will receive notification email).
